The NoTouch thermometer has an infrared sensor, which is located inside the soft tip. To avoid damage to the sensor, always store the thermometer in the protective stand while not in use. If there is dust or water inside the soft tip, gently clean with a soft tissue and allow it to dry before covering.

It is advised to occasionally clean the external part of the soft tip (without touching the sensor) with a 70% alcohol solution.
